January 30, 2020 - Chill afternoon drinks at ES Kallang. Pop and poured. Re-tasted again next day. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Cork-closure.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purple colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of sweet bell peppers, red cpsicums, cassis, polished boysenberries, blueberries, fresh earth, roasted herbs. Smoky cigars with more air. Developing.
On the palate, dry, fresh high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of cassis, blackberries, boysenberries, blueberries, sweet bell peppers, red capsicums, spice. Long finish.
Lots of smoky cigar overtaking the bell peppers with more air.
Very good quality. Possibly the best Carmenere out there! Extremely well-made. Can drink now, and also feels like it could age some.
