March 23, 2024 - 2010-2012 Virage vertical with boeuf bourguignon. All wines were decanted for 4 hours and initially served at 58 degrees.
2012 - Dark and full and very, very good. Interestingly, this was the only bottle with noticeable sediment. In my previous note, I thought this would hold at peak for a couple more years. Given how it showed with a 4 hour decant, I now think this could make a great birth year wine, or at least something to check in on over the long haul. Drink now (with long decant) through 2034.
2011 - Missing a bit of bottom end. Would pair better with chicken. Would probably show better with a shorter decant or PnP. Drink now through 2027.
2010 - Clean and precise. Drink now through 2030.1 person found this helpful Comment -

February 26, 2024 - In a great spot, the merlot elements shine with dark fruit / mocha / chocolate notes. Very smooth and well integrated

October 17, 2023 - Decanted for 1 hour and served at 60 degrees.
Hoo boy, this was really good. I loved how happy the Cab Franc played with the Merlot. Superb mouthfeel, opulent without being overdone. Darker fruit profile, minerals on the mid-palate, and a smooth, plush finish.
Consumed over 4 hours. I agree with previous tasters that this is ready to drink now. It will probably stay at this peak for a couple more years.1 person found this helpful Comment -

July 8, 2023 - Lovely 2012 right bank blend. This year is bright, with fruit up front, with softening minerals, and a lovely finish, easy-going, and brainy! Great wine!
