February 20, 2023 - From my recollection this wine was solid, well-made, tasty, but never really sang. Is it slightly shut down still? I have a couple more so time will tell.

October 22, 2021 - A l'ouverture, un nez assez mutique, un peu de ronce en arrière-plan. Mais la bouche, assez fluide, est sur les fruits rouges, assez élégante. Avec l'air, le nez me fait complètement partir sur un nebbiolo avec ses notes balsamiques/fumées : première fois qu'un pinot me fait çà, alors que l'inverse arrive parfois. La bouche est moins puissante et tannique que le barolo qu'on imaginait, c'est bien un pinot bourguignon, très agréable, qui manque un peu de niaque, de relance, de caractère, pour aller plus loin que son pedigree. Mais il est parfaitement à sa place, équilibré, facile, très bon village en définitive, et à point (je ne vois pas ce qu'il aurait gagné à attendre).

August 18, 2021 - Wine from Nicolas Potel's negotiant business. Pinot from old vines in volnay. First time drinking a volnay, very elegant with fine grippy tannins. Can't remember the aromas, but on the palate you get sour cherries and under ripe raspberries, with some earth and a hint of spice. Fantastic and will be on the lookout for village level wines!

April 10, 2020 - Delicate is the right word. Very pretty and bright red. Lots of strawberry and roses. Incredibly floral, so much lift, maybe the PH is even too low. Spicy, little hints of oak. Nice wine, maybe a few years from peak. I like 2014 more than most, very few seem overripe for my tastes.

October 2, 2019 - Delicate colour and aromatic presentation. Cherry, wild strawberry, sweet spice and carob nose. Fresh, light and flavourful; good definition and length.
