October 11, 2022 - PNP (wanted to see how it evolves). Nice, youthful, nose of damp forest floor, bramble and a hint of vanilla. Palette is youthful, if I didn’t know it was an ‘00 I’d never guess it if blind. Core of dark berries, ripe plums, a hint mocha and dark cherry. Long finish. Glad I have a few left in the cellar.

May 30, 2021 - Decanted for about an hour - cork fell apart in bottle, but was still drinkable.

January 13, 2017 - Decent whiff of straw/hay and cassis. Cherry came through on the first sip. This needed a decent decant despite being 17 years old so holding up well. Mellowed after an hour and the softness took away some of the tannin and pepper but improved the balance.

January 1, 2016 - Still lush fruits and tannins in this vintage wine. Forrest berries, cacao, metallic, still full of punch and evolving over the past hour. Worth decanting!

April 9, 2015 - UWS (@ JB): Mature bouquet with still some ripe red and dark forest fruits, sweet spices, blood, chocolate and a touch of barnyard. Same on the palate. Mainly ripe dark berries, juicy acidity and round tannin with still a good bite. The bouquet was more mature than the wine showed on the palate. A very pleasurable wine now. Ready now and probably for at least 5+ years. Hope to taste again around 2020.

September 15, 2014 - Opened, decanted and enjoyed over one hour.
Nose was still very fresh and full of energy. Had a modern Bordeaux nose with more fruit than earth prevalent, but there were plenty of dusty earth and funk. Good start.
On the palate the tannins were well integrated and decent amount of fruit remained but I couldn't shake off anticeptic like taste that lingered. I think the wine is still enjoyable to some, but not all.

January 19, 2013 - Good spicy, ripe Bordeaux wine. Tiny brown edge on the color, ridge of tanin, classic left bank taste: leather/ stable nose and taste, well balanced.. a very good bargain in 2004!
