  May 15, 2023 - Here we are seven years later and this wine continues to improve. A little more fruit and less savory notes than a 2005 Oreno that was opened next to this Bottle. The sweeter fruit and bigger nose made this bottle a lot more enjoyable. 15 minutes of air and the black fruit will come right out. With the tannins fading and integrating, the wine is silky.

  June 20, 2016 - Italian earth with dark fruit and leather on the nose. In the glass the color was deep dark red with a glass coating viscosity. The tannins were pronounced with a drying effect that made this more than just another sangiovese & cab blend. This wine is Italian at heart and the style confirms it.
  
  At 8 years old now, I can't wait to see what this bottle brings in the future.

  February 10, 2016 - Opened a week after it was shipped direct from the winery in Italy, the nose was slightly muted on opening. I was disappointed compared to the notes I had on this wine originally. But, after about 30-40 minutes this wine started to really come of age and approach what I had remembered earlier.
  The color was deep red with a slightly cherry colored rim. The nose was light with dark red fruit some and slightly earthy reminiscent and true of its origin. The tannins were soft and well integrated with soft flavors of blackberry.
  
  I will wait for a few months to let these bottles rest and then give it another review. But, so far so good.
