August 11, 2016 - From Scott
Hi Donna, Cool you are featuring my atypical ROX SONOMA WHITE..it was controversial, some folks rave about it and some folks didn't really understand it. LMK whatcha think. Cheers, Scott .
My Notes:
I had the pleasure of sharing this tasting with a fellow angel from FL who is visiting. She is a white wine lover so even though we knew it was a blend but had not yet read the blurb on the wine page she was able to pick out the Sauvignon Blanc. Before reading the serving direction we tried it cold right out the refrigerator. It was clear medium yellow with a slight greenish tinge. We both picked up a citrus scent and I noticed a melon or peach aroma. The taste we agreed was again citrus, some mineral and a hint of pear. Very nice mouth feel, full -bodied and was fresh tasting. As it warmed up the flavors were more intricate, fruity, well balanced and even more enjoyable. We had this wine on a hot summer afternoon with some pizza made from fresh ingredients (pizza dough, pizza sauce, mushrooms, cheese) from my CSA share and it paired very well. Also great to drink alone as it is so refreshing on a hot summer day. I will have good memories of this wine, and will buy again. I agree with Patty that it is a red wine drinkers white. I think it was the first time I experienced Albarino & Aligote grapes. -

April 10, 2016 - This Naked Wines blend of three varietals: Sauvignon Blanc, Albarińo, & Aligoté is a treat. Clear, pale yellow color; clean refreshing aromas of melons, limes, and pineapple; flavors include grapefruit, lime, melons, and golden delicious apples. Well balanced, with pleasing crispness on the mid-palate, and a lingering creamy mellow quality in the finish. Recommended.

March 10, 2016 - Clean smooth hint of pear and butter enough mineral to blend it all together. Goes well with spicy red meat and chocolate. Can't ask for more than that.

February 19, 2016 - A nice blend. Some fruit along with some floral notes. A rich mouthfeel, but still fairly crisp. Very easy drinking.
