March 27, 2017 - Martine's Wines - Portfolio Tasting (Sofitel - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Black berries with olive tapenade and black pepper. Very classically Northern Rhone. Elegant and charming start, slightly firm finish. Good now, better in a few years. Good value wine.

February 8, 2017 - Purchased off the list at Brindille. Hugely aromatic nose on pop n' pour -- savory black fruit with smoke, olives, black pepper and game. Palate has good concentration for a Crozes with freshness and lift that creates an overall plush mouthfeel. Slightly less complex flavors and depth on the palate, but there's some olive and pepper intermixed with the polished fruit. I suspect more of that nuance and layering will come with 3-4 years in the bottle. But this is an enjoyable drink now and very true to N. Rhone form.
