July 4, 2023 - Delicious stewed red fruit. Raisins and molasses.

February 6, 2021 - Full body, bright cherry with brick rims color. Intense but very delicate aroma of blue and red fruits, flowers, tobacco, pepper and spices’ box. Rounding palate of ripe black cherry and blueberry following by long, still fresh finish and silky tannins. Complex and balanced wine, berries’ jam acidity and well hidden alcohol. Food friendly, well paring with pilaf. Serve 16ºC - 20ºC. Open one hour ahead. Drink now and four years.

March 16, 2018 - Reading the review from @TannicBeast I started to think there's volatility between bottles. Mine had clean yet subtle nose, beautifully balanced tannins and absolutely perfect smoothness. Then again after 1-2h decanting this one started to decline. Some vegetative notes here and there... Was at its peak upon opening.

April 18, 2017 - Italian Wine Scholar at the Texas Wine School. Clear, medium ruby, with garnet hues. The nose is clean, with black currant, ripe red cherry, plum and some mellow oak influence as a result of 36 months of aging in large Slavonian oak casks. The palate is dry, but laden with ripe, work rich fruit. Medium (+) acidity, medium (+) tannins and high alcohol (14.5%) which, however, is not as noticeable as the stated amount might indicate. It is similar to Ruffino's Gran Selezione, except that the Brunello is more traditional (without the new oak), is warmer, rounder and more generous. This Brunello is barely now entering its optimal drinking window and should reward some additional cellar aging.
