  September 6, 2023 - Upon opening, found dark berry / fruit on the nose with some subtle secondary notes of leather / tobacco. Medium tannins that softened with nicely balanced acidity. Finish was medium+. Nice bottle of wine!

  January 29, 2021 - First bottle of the 2013 merlot that we open. Upon decanting, the impressive fruity nose what a surprise. It looked and smelled like a much younger wine. The tannins were also quite tight. After 30 min, the wine opened up further and gained in complexity. Tons of dark ripe fruit, pepper and balsamic notes. The ripe tannins and a sharp acidity makes this impressively balance and fun to drink.

  January 3, 2020 - Medium ruby with medium intensity nose.
  High acidity even after a two hour decant. Medium tannin and high alcohol somewhat overpower the modest fruit which tends toward the black side unusually. The result is full body with a medium to lengthy finish. Overall a very good effort.

  May 21, 2019 - Mid bodied with grippy tannins and bright acidity. Needed three hours decant to open up and could use three or move years in the cellar
