November 26, 2020 - Perfect bottle. Typical fruit concentration for the vintage. Long finish. Great juice, positively surprised.

November 19, 2020 - A private dinner with friends (Waver, Ouder-Amstel, NL): Level into neck. Relatively slender, not as rich as I would have expected from a 1982, but it is wonderfully fresh and appetising and perfectly true to type.

On first opening quite faded but after a couple of hours in the air it developed nicely. Drink up

October 5, 2018 - Rustic, lean, medium-bodied and four-square, the wine is taking on an acidic, hard, angular character and will continue in that direction, losing more fruit as time marches on. This does not resemble the stunning wines made at the property today.

(Chat Pontet Canet) VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark, really nice; NOSE-armpit, barley soup mixed w/ locker room, Dunkin Donut coffee; TASTE-green asparagus, very dry, food wine, mushroom soup, great mouth feel, acidity still very strong; still very youthful (if blind tested I would have thought it was 2001), very rich, medium body, red beet meets asparagus on the finish, nice but not profound; RP-86; GV-89
