Community Tasting Notes 10

May 7, 2019 - This needed a lot of air to be drinkable. Quite harsh and disjointed on opening. Double decanted in the morning and let sit in the celllar all day, then 2 hours in the decanter before serving. Still took another hour to be enjoyable. It was pleasant and gained some weight and smoothed out with the air, but relatively simple. Would not be seeking more.

March 17, 2018 - Weak, watery, and not worth drinking. Better after 3 hrs than after 1.5 hrs.

October 23, 2016 - Not much interest in this, doesn't seem to open up to any depth. Fair dry red with mild spice and red fruit notes of strawberry and tart cherry. Kind of boring after a glass.

June 21, 2016 - Clear, medium, garnet hue. Clean pronounced nose of leather, barnyard, warm blackberries, red and black cherries, tobacco and cloves. Dry, medium bodied, medium acidity with softer tannins, alcohol still prevalent at a medium plus. Medium plus flavors of the nose with additional flavors of vanilla, dried violets, dried plums, prunes. Now hold onto your seats: light haze of smoke from a cigar with a Connecticut cigar wrapper. Medium plus finish. Very well done and drink that now.

April 11, 2016 - Decanted for an hour and a half. Deep purple colour and classic Pomerol nose. First glass a little lacking in depth but improved with more air.
