  January 15, 2021 - Rose gold with a copper tinge. The nose has a strong fresh apple smell with a little fresh cut wood, roasted peanuts, salted caramel and just the faintest scent of something harder, like a scotch whisky. In the mouth, there is an initial hit of sweetness, joined on the mid-pallete by a gentle wave of acidity. Flavours are of ripe apple and peach. The finish is very long and evolves from fruit flavours to some nutiness, puckering from the acidity and some tannins, which also gives just a touch of bitterness.
  I gave this 98 because, even if this wine isn't the most complex, I had such a strong emotional response drinking it. It is incredibly beautiful, delicious, intoxicating, interesting and superbly made. The texture and evolution on the palette blows my mind. I think this wine is quite personal; some will adore it (like me), other will merely like it. Either way, it is worth buying and trying for yourself to see where you fall. CHF 59

  August 8, 2020 - Rich flavorful wine. Sweet with flavor of apple, honeysuckle, and apricot. Long lasting finish too.

  January 5, 2020 - Well, this is just spectacular even this young. Having previously tasted the clos du bourg demi-sec, I was looking forward to this. Young, and not yet close to ready, still easy to find grapefruit, pear, honey, lemon, white flowers, citrus, and lots of tropical and stone fruits. Sweet, but not cloying, maybe even a bit dryer than expected, this is a big, rich, full, concentrated, and balanced wine. So good now, makes wish you could somehow fast forward 50 years to see what it will become. Imo this represents an incredible qpr and I think taking advantage of that to be able to watch the evolution is money perhaps better spent than a lot of the wine I buy. Probably biased to the sweeter wines as 20% of my cellar is either port or sauterne.

  September 6, 2019 - Delicious but still a baby; give it another 5 or 10 years to integrate and mature; a little too fresh and acidic; paired with foie gras

  September 1, 2019 - A fairly off-dry style. Flavors are concentrated but the weight is fairly light and balanced. Color is wonderfully deep peach. I would have preferred it a tad drier.
