May 7, 2019 - Incredibly lush Zin fruit in this bottle, and it shows with a classic Dry Creek Zin style. Remember visiting the winery a few years ago, which included a tour with Mr. Talty personally. It was a wonderful afternoon as he walked us through his production areas and described each step in detail, as well as his story in starting from scratch. This Zin certainly has much more time yet than the current Community End-Date of 2020 suggests. Putting forward 2024, and will plan to hold on to our other bottle for awhile yet.

March 30, 2018 - Took to a Seder, put at our end of the table, and we pretty much drank the whole thing with brisket, etc. Michael Talty remains unafraid in the face of volatile acidity, lending some odd notes at the opening, but rapidly turning this into a very interesting wine. As always, a more burgundian take on Zin, with lots of aromatics, silky texture, but the brambly berries of Zin. If you like this style of wine, it's going to be your favorite Zin, but it's not for everyone.

May 5, 2017 - The fruit was missing in this bottle -- maybe a bad bottle, but the fruit flavors were almost absent. Disappointing.
