September 25, 2023 - Funny experience - opened this after having a couple of bottles of champagne and the clash between them made us think this was flawed - but then my wife suggested a little cheese and crackers and a few more minutes of waiting - and then we realized it was just insanely tight. Needs a few hours of aeration before becoming its fine self. So so so good.

June 11, 2023 - 90-minute decant. Intense ruby color, with a very deep dark core. Blackberry, stewed raspberry, dark chocolate, black walnut, and subtle leather. Silty, tongue drying palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.

This still has great fruit at the ten year mark. It’s elegant and complex, with a nod to the “old world”. The acidity is very prominent, which is likely why this is holding up so well.

May 19, 2023 - 93.5 after 1.5h decant have a feeling it could have used more. Concentrated dark fruits, beautiful extract , smooth and relaxed. If I had to blind taste I would go quality left bank. Next bottle will let it open up for longer. Still very enjoyable and great for the $.

April 26, 2023 - Double decanted about 3-4 hrs prior. Deep dense ruby and purple color. Leather, soil, blackberry, truffle, hint of violet on the nose. Concordant on the palate with slight pepper, blackberry, leather, and soil and 35 sec finish with still some drying tannins that lead me to think this really could age further although perhaps at the expense of fruit. This is drinking beautifully with superb balance. There is a French element here with elegance but with distinct, dense Napa fruit present. Excellent QPR from truly a master winemaker!
