August 16, 2019 - What Rich S, JVG and Mr Buzz said! The soft, tart, cranberry/cherry fruit and overall l lovely nature of this wine are a pleasure. I doubt it gets any better from here but such a delicious treat as is. I need to find some more of this from a more recent vintage - but still have a few more bottles of this one.

January 1, 2019 - Consistent with previous bottles. Really pretty wine. Lots of tart red fruit and floral notes with a core of red strawberry and cherry.

April 12, 2018 - Bright cherry red color. Fruity and inviting on the nose, with fresh juicy cherry and raspberry aromas. But also something a little more unusual, like boysenberry or something like that. There’s a faint flinty/smoky note underneath, but primarily the nose is about the purity of the fruit. About the same on the palate, but a little less body than I expected and very little in the way of tannin. It’s really just a pretty straightforward blast of juicy, ripe red fruit. Again just that hint of mineral/smoke on the finish, and the barest dusting of fine-grained dusty tannin.

This is Beaujolais at its most good-natured—the kind of bottle that’s empty seemingly as soon as you open it. Delightful.

January 23, 2018 - Been enjoying some Cru Bojo of late...really like the bright vibrant red fruits and feminine florals and spices, great acidity and minerality to pair with all kinds of food. Most of these wines are a first for me, as the Pinot/Chard Burgs have blinded me from seeking other wines like these. This 14 Thivin is another killer bottle! Has that bright lighter bodied red fruits...cranberry, raspberry, cherry, rhubarb...tangy citrus acidity, crunchy cherry skin sours...and a smoky, stemmy, whole cluster funk that I'm really diggin! High pitched, dusty tannin, pretty flower florals...balances out well to a mouthful of pleasure. I really like this one! Can't wait to try some others from Thivin!

November 23, 2017 - Popped and poured. Medium to dark ruby color. Nose of black cherry, dark pomegranate, hints of earth and rocky soil. Similar flavors on the palate with tart red fruits, herbal spices and some earthy notes with underlying minerality. Medium+ acid, medium tannins and body. Juicy mouthfeel and dry finish. Food friendly wine that is very enjoyable now but has structure to age.
