January 27, 2024 - Really in the zone now and much better than the bottle I cracked right off the truck from the blowout sale. On PnP this is all classic cool climate Syrah - briny olive, smoky bacon. Mouthfeel is spot on silky and for $20 I should have gotten a case.

December 31, 2023 - Tasted after 1 hour of air. Medium garnet color. Some metallic notes. Medicinal flavors. Cool crunchy Syrah. Strawberries. Still drinking nicely and showing no signs of fading. Dusty tannins. Some bacon fat. Very interesting wine. An excellent value as I bought this for $20 direct from the winery.

August 20, 2023 - briny and savory, kind of a vinyl-y, rubbery nose, some called it smoky. it's ok.

June 19, 2023 - This is drinking fine, but this bottle may not have shown quite as well as a bottle a year ago

August 9, 2022 - Stood up overnight. Decanted off sediment for 1.5h then back into bottle. Drank over 4 h with Javier and Inoke. From memory. Took about 2h in bottle to really get going. Grilled meats, ripe cherries and blackberries, some iron, and some black olives on the palate. Full body with medium+ tannins. Definitely a nod to the N. Rhone but also definitely California fruit. Lacks some depth and complexity but accessible now. I suspect that the wine will open up and integrate more over the next 5 years or so.
