January 30, 2019 - Light gold. Slate, light citrus nose. Clean and simple flavor profile. Grapefruit, stony, minerals dominant. Very good balance. Excellent with fresh Dungeness crab cakes.

May 20, 2018 - Drank from a bottle opened the day before. Pours a day-bright straw color in the glass. Nose and palate are fresh and focused showing crunchy and tart apple skins, lemon zest, bitter lemon pith, tangy white grapefruit and a ton of slate mineralité. Midpalate is mouthwateringly zesty with upfront citrus and great acidity. Medium finish is appetizingly saline and bitter. Nice.

June 23, 2017 - Do love Altesse--it's mineral and stony, with a heavy midpalate feeling like chardonnay but without the buttery overtones. Great for summer fish (halibut, salmon cakes with dill), salads.
