May 19, 2019 - Beautiful bouquet / hedonistic nose with layers of red berries, roses, tar and some leather. Very well integrated for being such a young wine. Great tannins, beautiful cherries on the palate. Long finish. Still quite primary. Stood out among many «rivals» from Burgundy. I would allow another 6-10 years for my remaining bottles. Great potential

February 17, 2019 - This is quite an exceptional Barolo. Lots of dried red and black fruits, tar, some hints of roses, obviously, but not super floral. It's quite masculine in fact. Underbrush, forest floor, mushrooms, - great complexity for such a young wine.
Both the nose and the palate are very ripe, yet impeccably balanced. You don't find the wines of this size and concentration and this great of a balance too often. Where the wine truly stands out is it's finish that sticks with you for well more than a minute. It's on par with the greatest of Bordeaux in this regard.
A truly soulful and rightfully exceptional wine - enjoy now and for the next 20-30 years.

February 9, 2018 - Pronounced and powerful, lots of sweet fruit and then big grip.

May 16, 2017 - Again, very flush and fun drinking on the palate, mid palate that is, and then lots of structure on the back. SHows the modernity and yet is really lovely for all that anyway.

March 18, 2017 - Generous and open at pnp. Becomes even more aromatic after a couple of hours in the decanter, elegant and fresh notes of rose petals, cherries, all kinds of flowers, chocolate and new leather. The fruit is very light and sweet.
The palate is much the same except that the barriques are more present. Sweet fruit and rose petals, vanilla and chocolate. Juicy tannins and fine acidity, approachable and highly drinkable already. It's definitely a great craftmanship, the oak is elegant and pretty well balanced even at this early stage. From a personal point of view though the oak is too present on the palate keeping all the other characteristics in a tight grip. Perhaps this will change with cellartime and a more balanced wine will come out on the other side. My guess is the Normale is the one to pop at this early age.
