July 18, 2022 - Drinking at its peak now

September 11, 2021 - {scrap, 14.5%} Still a fairly deep ruby red. Nose and palate are resolutely in step; mint, gum tree, cassis. Black olive and soft spicy oak. Sees French oak I gather. Still, the palate has a slightly baked, raisiny character, with low gritty tannins and medium acidity. Feels a bit constructed, not entirely natural. Also feels way more alcoholic than the label suggests, with a warm, fumey finish on top of its medium length, full-weighted palate. Auction provenance, may have been poorly stored, or more likely just beyond its intended drinking window now. Drink up.

January 10, 2019 - Muted aroma, medium body, the letdown is the stalky finish

May 30, 2018 - I always enjoy this wine. It is a delicate cab sav, and has a great mixture of fruit and a hint of earthy elements to balance it. It is not a deep, rich, or powerful cab sav but has decent structure and a soft and medium length finish, whilst maintaining the definitive flavors of this variety of wine.
It does have a meaty nose when first opened, but let it breathe to bring out the fruit notes.
