July 17, 2006 - 100% Refosco dal peduncolo rosso. Youngish purple, with ruby reflections. Small, quick legs. Nose carries the caracteristic Refosco scents of blueberry and orange zest, waltzing reveals some faint hint of herbs and pepper. Rather thin and feeble on the palate, with mainly faint black berryfruit, some vanilla and rosebud. Taste pattern lacks structure and is undefined. Nice sour/bitter balance and crisp aftertaste. Not bad, but no more than an average quaffing wine.
