Community Tasting Notes 9

  • Big Juicy Red Likes this wine:

December 31, 2021 - Residual sugar no longer noticeable. Acid is well integrated into the flavors, which are rich and deep. Quite delightful and aging nicely; I wish I had more.

  • Big Juicy Red Likes this wine:

December 3, 2020 - This is a delightful wine. Citrus flavors (lime, grapefruit, and maybe peach), acid, and the barest hint of residual sugar all play together in perfect harmony.

August 21, 2018 - The wine pros love the Riesling. Not so much many of the rest of us. I am thinking the first wine I tasted was the Riesling, circa 1961--probably a very good post war German version (pretty sure I loved those early bottles). I have probably had a few hundred bottles since then. I keep trying to like it but am thinking I will give it up. Same for the Gamay and Sauvignon Blanc. Think I will ignore the pros and drink what I like.

June 25, 2018 - Tough capsule with Diam 10, seems built to last. Very pale. Green apple and petrol, good acidity leading to clean finish. Tty again in a few years though quite good now.

June 9, 2018 - I am not a fan of grapefruit and that is what showed up in this bottle. Could have been a good bottle otherwise.
