Community Tasting Notes 14

  • fredb Likes this wine:

February 24, 2021 - Decanted off a small amount of tartaric sediment for about an hour before consumption. Medium red color with medium transparency. Nose of currant, strawberry, raspberry, and a bit of blackberry with some vanilla notes. Palate shows blackberry/currant at first with red fruits joining with time in the glass. Some dusty bass notes come in with more time in the glass. Nice showing and drinking where I like Brunello on the young side. Drink or hold.

August 18, 2020 - Well had this bottle earlier as anticipated. I had it in Zalto Burgundy glass and the wine is really well balanced. But as before i still think it lacks in complexity and depth....the price is not super high but still....

July 16, 2020 - Very dry, aromatic. Even for a brunello

July 19, 2019 - Had this with pork , its a well balanced wine bot it lacks in depth and complexity.
I had it in Zalto Burgundy glass.
I still have 1 bottle left and think i will let it stay in my cellar for several years and hope it will be better,

April 19, 2019 - Had at dinner with friends, so not super sharp notes -- notes of pine nuts, fresh, not dry, leather and dark red fruit. High, but well-integrated, tannins. Would like to revisit.
