October 25, 2023 - Blackberry, cinnamon and oak on a rich nose, richness continues on the palate, soft tannins but with a little end grip of cherry stones. V enjoyable And good vfm.

July 30, 2023 - Has improved immensely in the last 2 years. That bubblegum flavour has disappeared in favour of earthiness, blackcurrant and oak. Medium to full bodied this is an excellent wine for a poor vintage. Length is OK with good aftertaste. Still plenty of soft tannins. Drinking well now and will improve for a couple more years. Good QPR.

May 29, 2023 - Dark garnet. Aroma of mushroom, fruitcake, currants, musk. Delicious bone-dry flavour of blueberry jam, apple, blackberry, spice. There is a rancid note of bitter nuts, but that just adds to the complexity just now.

May 22, 2023 - In a decanter for about an hour. Ruby color. Light body. Initially a little tight and sharp edged, but softened nicely. Pepper notes. Went well with some grilled burgers… that sort of red wine. 100% Syrah. 13% ABV.

April 16, 2023 - One that really opens up with air - much improved tasting on the second day. The fresh acidity is properly integrated and well balanced by the fruit - blueberry, black cherry - into black olive and cola. Very smooth mouthfeel. This has benefited from an extra year - thoroughly underwhelmed when I first tried but this was really satisfying and plenty of years left yet.
