September 23, 2022 - One amazing wine here. Can’t believe how well it has held up after 27 years. Tannins are fully resolved, nice cherry fruit flavor, great color, and what an awesome floral aroma coming from the glass. I did not decant as I didn’t want to risk oxidation due to the age. Pretty happy about deciding to risk it on the auction!

March 2, 2019 - Q1 - 2019 Tasting - 1995 Vintage Napa Valley (NYC): 8th/16 wines tasted double blind. On initial tasting I found this a bit tight here, but when paired with food the wine came around. Dark fruits, with some grippy tannins still hanging on, hints of earth and leather and then a bit of alcohol flush popping through on the finish.

March 2, 2019 - Q1 2019 Tasting - 1995 Napa (The Apt): Wine #8: Just a nice well-aged Napa cab. There's still lots of fruit. Still some good balance and more of that tack room and old library notes. I got a bit more alcohol on this one than some of the others which surprised me. Still, found it interesting and enjoyable. (1 penny)

January 20, 2012 - Beautiful cabernet sauvignon nose, floral, dark cherry, sweet fruity nose, more of the same on the palate except thick, almost chewy texture, medium long finish, great aftertaste, at its peak, would last another 2 to 5 years, suggest you drink now while the fruit is still showing well.
