August 30, 2019 - It’s taken a while but getting around to trying the first of my 14s. Caught the back end of it’s primary youth. The nose is still fresh and with a touch of Folly funk. Blueberries, dark cherries and blackberries on a fairly light palate. I can really get around the ABV of 12.5%. Nice.

July 16, 2019 - Brett showing through now. This wine was under cork and would be good to compare against a screw capped one, which I will do one day. The wine is young and still lithe and youthful. The bretty nose is a bit distracting and I suspect this vintage may age well into something like Musar in 10-15 years. Acid forward, light and enjoyable. Not in a drinking window really at present for me. Hold for a miracle...

December 13, 2018 - From 375ml. Cork. Decanted 30mins. Dusty, leather notes mingle with purple fruit and olive. The palate is fine, elegant, restrained. Good length. Needs some more time for all the components to integrate.

November 16, 2018 - Different to what I have tasted before, this is not like my typical shiraz. This is classically elegant, this is oh my what is this? I can taste Amarena cherries and old world charm. This should not be paired with Cadbury Daily Milk, more a fancy cheese plate kinda wine. Love it more than a friend.

July 22, 2018 - Lake's Folly Birthday lunch (McLeay Street Bistro, Potts Point): black hued fruit, sweet and peppery spice, cedar. Juicy, tangy, black hued fruit, silky, slight flour textured tannins. Very fresh Nice though.

Hmmm, interesting. Dusty? Enjoyable but not sure I'd buy more. Do however think that there is long term potential, so I could be wrong. be interesting to see where it ends up. Leave them alone!
