August 30, 2023 - This is a really good bottle of wine. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark cherry, tobacco and hints of coffee. The finish was smooth and moderately long.

May 7, 2022 - Needed a good air treatment and maybe didn’t get it. Opened with a shake decant for 2 hrs.
Great texture and mouthfeel, but definitely young. Blood orange, ripe red raspberry, spice, black tea, Earl Grey Tea, earth dominant now, not sure fruit will ever catch up. Walloped a tired ‘00 Dunn and a corked Buccella, but did not stand out over Paul Launois champagne, which frankly disappointed this cab lover!1 person found this helpful Comment -

August 3, 2019 - General comments based on dinner last night. Spectacular. Wine of the night for me and competing with many heavy hitters. Incredible fruit balanced by perfect tannins with incredible depth in a wine that goes on forever. This wine was worth the $120 paid. The line up included

June 4, 2019 - Had huge expectations to begin with. Parker rated at 97 while Spectator & Enthusiast gave 92's. I believe the truth lies in the middle here.
Great Nose! Opaque in color-attractive. Vanilla, Black fruit dominate
the mid palate. Low to medium alcohol heat. Didn't really finish as well as anticipated. somewhat closed off and tight. Gave it over 2 hours of air but very possible it just needs more air time. Have a couple left. If opening this wine make sure it gets 3 to 4 hours minimum before consuming.3 people found this helpful Comment -

May 26, 2019 - Opaque in color, this mountain cab possess wonderful traits. BlackBerry black cherry, vanilla, dominate the palate. By hour 2 most the alcohol heat had burned off. Not as tannic as I expected. Thought the finish lacked just a bit. Have a couple more I ll keep cellar for a few more years. Enjoy with a aged char grilled rib eye. 93-94 pts
