May 7, 2019 - This held up extremely well given that the solera style is designed to be consumed and not extensively aged. I was expecting to have regretted sitting on it, and instead was surprised that it aged as gracefully as any Napa cab I've had from it's era.

October 14, 2013 - Dark, dense wine. On the nose was cassis, tobacco and spice, and a hint of vanilla. Palate had ripe dark fruit and a touch of fig. Big tannins yet very smooth with a nice toasty oak note. Long, smooth finish. Abacus continues to be one of the most interesting wines I've had. Lovely blend of old and new.
