    March 7, 2019 - 2 clones 777 and 115 25% whole bunch 33% new oak
Colour deep garnet pink edges , translucent bright and clear 15/15
Nose great intensity so much going on fruits , spice, florals , sweeet, savoury amazing complexity 29/30
Palate more intense than white label , same as the nose , layer after layer , crying out for time in the bottle 42/44
Overall These are 2 very different wines the White and Black labels , both get better with age , great now but the future holds the promise of so much more 10/11

October 28, 2016 - Outstanding, thrilling pinot. Explosive on the first pour, lots of the forest floor funk and earth beneath a spread of strawberries, crushed violets, elderberries, plum jam and jasmine tea. Day 2 and it's really evolved a lot too. Maybe a bit of oak showing with some vanilla and clove aromas but it's integrated well. The palate is weightless, very clean and fruit driven with a touch of red-appleskin type bitterness on the finish complimented nicely by crisp acids. Medium/med+ finish. Delicious now but I imagine will age well and be a pretty special wine with 5-8 years on it.

October 9, 2016 - Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern): From magnum: charcuterie, pate, BBQ, bonfire ash…tight, closed, quite unpleasant.
