Community Tasting Notes 10

March 23, 2023 - Cherry, touch of plum, cranberry, forest floor, cedar on the nose. Red fruits in the mouth, sangiovese varietal flavors predominate. Nice pine notes and a bit of length on the finish with hints of vanilla. A real surprise. Certainly not going to improve but is in a very nice spot right now. Pizza night

July 2, 2019 - Decanted for a few hours. Still very primary. On the nose a waft of dark fruit, cedar and forest floor. In the mouth a bit extracted and heavy. Seems like in an awkward phase or just has not developed. Disappointing.

October 2, 2018 - Opened for 3 hours before pouring. Beautifully dark color with legs that coat the glass as I swirl it. The nose is dominated by muted cherries mixed with some hints of mint. Really nice mouthfeel which lingers well after you have swallowed. This is just entering a nice drinking window that should extend for many yeRs. Can’t wsit for the 2015

September 13, 2018 - Opened at 4:00 and had a glass at 5:00. Still dark as night but a bit more aromatic than the last bottle.
Nice soft berries cinnamon and rust. Nice and soft in the mouth. Just a lovely drink. Time to start drinking.

June 17, 2018 - Served by a friend. Bottle pop. Very dark in the glass and just a few hints of berries, mint, cinnamon. Tannin and acids resolved nicely. As it sat in the glass it just got better and better. Just entering a very nice drinking window. 91+ with upside.
