October 7, 2009 - Unfortunately the last of these lovely bottles.

February 13, 2008 - Deep cherry red in colour, this wine just keeps on improving. Cherry, toasty-vanilla and strawberry characters on the nose. The palate is savoury and earthy with a hint of sweetness - roasted, slightly sweet, capsicums and candied fruit.

September 2, 2007 - Made from 100% Sangiovese, Riecine’s Chianti Classico Riserva spends 24 months in second use French oak barriques. Deep ruby red in colour this wine is elegant and fruit driven. The nose shows cherry, vanilla and a floral perfume. The palate is rich and meaty. It’s definitely mellowed over the last couple of years showing much better integration.

June 17, 2006 - Very deep purple/ruby in colour this wine is the ultimate Chianti Classico Riserva and has won many awards over the years for its excellent expression of the region and style. A very rich an opulent wine, not only because of the very hot weather in 2003, this wine has great plummy fruit, spice and vanilla characters on the nose. The plate is still quite intense with good tannin and acid, but should mellow nicely with some more bottle age.

Tasted at the Riecine Cellar Door, Gaiole in Chianti, Italy
