February 25, 2024 - Extracted 1/2 bottle via Coravin into a carafe. Began drinking after 1 hour through a second hour. The color is a deep garnet without fading at the edge. The aroma has cherries, orange peel, a hint of menthol. The flavors are of cherries, cranberries, a hint of mushroom and stem. The acidity keeps the wine fresh but slightly overpowers the fruit. The tannins are present and fine grained and, along with the acid, comprise a goodly part of the long finish. The wine I'd young yet. Wait another 5+ years for it to integrate. ABV 13.5%.

August 14, 2023 - Needs airtime to open up and mellow out.
    Nose of apples.
Palate: Ripe meets tart fresh blackberries right off the bush. Med+ tannins, med acid, Greenbriar-salty. 13.5% Alc.

This was stiff and tight initially, but with air and alongside a steak? Wonderful. Loved this. Has that balance of fruit and backbone that really scratches my Burgundy itch. Just entering its drinking window and years to go.

April 29, 2023 - Medium+ nose intensity with notes of red and black fruits, spices. Still youthful. Medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin. Long finish.

January 20, 2022 - Lunch at Sommer Dining (Sommer Dining, Singapore): This was one yummy wine, really delicious now. It had a lovely nose, with lovely drifts of Vosne spice, dried violets and a gentle earthiness, all floating around a core sweet dark cherries and plums. Really pretty. The palate was lovely too, a touch simple for a Malconsorts, but so yummy, with juicy flavours of black cherries and plums, spice and a tiny hint of earth, these garlanded with a halo of violets, all resolving into an earthy, minerally finish. Is this the strongest wine one can find from the famed Malconsorts vineyard? No - especially not for a vintage like 2015. It is very yummy though, and represents great, early drinking value at its price tag.

May 15, 2021 - Vosne + Flannery (Chicago): Powerful, meaty, spicy black cherry. Fun to drink now though its more flash and exuberant spice (not a bad thing) at this stage. Should mature into a more nuanced wine in 10+ years. Certainly a bargain Malconsorts and worth seeking out.
