September 5, 2023 - Slow-ox for 7hrs. Nose is very elegant and open for business. Red fruit and floral notes dance around along with flavors of leather and game. The nose is beautiful but the palate is really where the wine punches your senses. It’s concentrated, yet soft and velvety. Still a lot of red fruit and leather, but the wine keeps on going and finishes with lingering floral notes of violet and roses. Incredible balance between depth and softness, almost Burgundian. Wow, definitely up to the hype, even for a weak vintage.

March 12, 2023 - March Rhônes (Chicago, IL): Intense, tannic, black-fruited wine with lots of leathery qualities that just isn't as expressive as I would have hoped. Impressive concentration and density, but this needs time to mellow out. A good wine, but overhyped after Vaillé's passing.
