July 7, 2020 - Purple crimson colour. Dry and light aroma of spice and white pepper Sweet blackberry and blueberry dominates, pepper, rosemary, asparagus. Beautiful flavours, milk chocolate, medium body, lively acidity. Great result from this vintage. There were some very average wines from the Ivanhoe 15 vintage but this one turned out very well.
Just read my notes from a month ago and this one was significantly better, amazing the difference between bottles.

June 25, 2020 - Black crimson colour, aroma of straw, spice, white pepper. Some sweet hot aroma which surprisingly enticing. Plum, blackberry, shrubs, dark chocolate. Fresh acidity, medium body. Fresh flavours but uneven and a bit sharp. I didn’t have high expectations from a poor hunter vintage, probably beat my expectations.

May 26, 2020 - Dark red colour with a thick light hue. Light aroma of smoke and spice. Plum, asparagus, blackberry, pepper, cumin. I had low expectations from the 15 Hunter. Vintage but this isn’t bad. Fine dry gritty tannin and the acid is a bit green. Not as good as other Ivanhoe vintages But acceptable.

December 5, 2018 - Quite dark colour, black red, minimal red hue. Light aroma of dried herbs, sweet plum. Plum, mulberry, cracked pepper, rosemary. Medium to light tannin, light acidity. Smooth and balanced but unremarkable. Probably the best that could be got from a bad vintage. Has improved from last year, may improve further in th next year or so. Not a long term proposition though.

July 13, 2018 - Requires some air, but even that doesn’t help considerably. Light body, cherry, aniseed and eucalyptus. Sour finish. Still have 4 bottles to work my way through. Not looking forward to it. I might be a bit harsh, but I expected a lot more from Ivanhoe.
