November 1, 2020 - A good weeknight wine but disappointing as a Brunello. Poor QPR. It did mellow over time in the glass and it turned out to be pretty solid by day two, resulting in the rating I gave it, however, in the scheme of BdMs I've had, this and the Carpazo would be my least favorite.

June 21, 2020 - not bad and at a good price for a Brunello. Color is more red and less brown. its a tad acidic and a bit one dimensional, unfortunately, but its still a Brunello and so has a good flavor profile

December 29, 2019 - similar to previous bottles, I find this to be a good weeknight wine. Some tannins so let it air in the glass or decant. After a 30 minute decant I find it to be a good BnM overall. Day two was actually even better.

November 9, 2019 - Lighter color with some fruit but almost no nose. Okay but had better, a weeknight wine but we need those. all that said though, after a one hour decant and as we drank through dinner, it really improved. I had it originally at a 90 and raised it to a 92 after that.

January 26, 2017 - Tinge of violet in the color. Black cherry taste, juicy and mineral wine. Stylistically recalls Maremma based sangiovese -- plums, dusty cherry, maybe simple but smooth mid section, juicy finish with echoes of berries and bright fruit; thinking of Poggio Valente '12, Cepparello '11 style of wine making. Not surprisingly, Mocali makes several Maremma based wines. Some residual finishing tannins but an easy drinking wine now. Still immature, but there is nothing that recalls rich but flat, fruit forward, candy wine that is a hallmark of some '11 wines.
