August 29, 2023 - Oppose to the 2012 Inferno this bottle fortunately showed well.

Tomato/tomato leaves, gravel, perhaps a slight pepper-herbal thing (imagining it being mountain herbs but who knows) on the nose. Cherries in the background, and I mention this as it feels the primary flavors might be fading.

Same in the mouth with the addition of red plums, more pronuced dark and red cherries. Texturally this is sensual, yet still grippy grainy tannins.
    A long pretty finish.

November 7, 2022 - Very happy to see that this is showing much better now!

Drinking very well now. Sour cherries, stewed strawberries, fine herbs incl. salvia, together with the refreshing acidity and “hidden” quite tannic structure. Very drinkable and a long sapidic finish.

December 27, 2021 - Same notes as the bottle we had in 2019. Lovely bit of Valtellina wine.

April 12, 2020 - Awesome wine. Still benefits from 1+ hr decant. It really doesn’t get much better than this for perfectly balanced medium bodied red. Please see my earlier detailed note on another bottle of the same.

November 5, 2019 - It had been a while since we had our last one. As a 2011 vintage with an agglomerated cork, I wanted to check in on it. It’s still a beauty, needing a full decant for an hour to reach its prime, though drinkable from the start.

It’s medium bodied but keeps a pronounced delicacy on the nose and the palate, even with air. Slightly more earthy than fruity, but only by a little. It is a wonder of complexity, shifting and changing through the bottle, glass and sip. It develops to quite a long finish. Beautiful.
