June 20, 2023 - Drinking awesome right now. Seems like the perfect window to be drinking, wish I had more!

January 31, 2020 - Similar to Aug. 2018. I really do suspect that there was a storage issue at the winery before purchases, because the initially purchased bottle was so much better. That or unacceptable bottle variation. This was good, but "too much" from begin to end and not well held together. Very ripe, too extracted.

August 2, 2018 - From hero to zero. The previous bottle consumed Dec. 2017 had been purchased from the winery April 2016. This bottle was purchased from the winery April 2018. It comes across as a basic big, fruit-forward "California Wine". Good. Not interesting over a couple of hours. The underlying fruit is nice and there are no missteps, but it tastes fairly generic and manufactured. Yet some herbal elements and appealing richness come in towards the end to bump it up. Bottle variation? Storage issues?

February 11, 2018 - Fully Decanted and very good with my special spaghetti sauce over zuddles
    Would buy again.

December 8, 2017 - Beautiful wine that unfolded over hours. Though it's polished with high notes, there is an earthy thread throughout it, picking up dried herbs. Combination of blackberry and red fruits, modestly ripe and also dried. Hard to put this one down and it worked great with our meal too. Great purity.
