May 29, 2016 - Remarkable wine. The nose offers a beguiling hint of rancio, reminiscent of a white port perhaps or a light tokay, accompanied by hints of maple syrup, rich mahogany, and Islay malt whisky.

The palate opens with surprise- the sweetness on the nose giving way to an incredibly fresh mouthfeel, at once sweet and salty. Rich, lingering notes of ripe apricot are balanced by a saline purity. The whole package is wrapped up by an incredibly long, nutty finish.

    Very fine.
