November 30, 2013 - Typical of 3006. Bigger, jamier. Good.

August 23, 2013 - Purchased the "Lenne Estate" at Brentwood wine auction 11-12 and drank early January 2013. Bottle showed that it had been properly cellared. Beautiful nose of red fruits, primarily cherry which continued into the taste. Tannin was very slightly showing. Thankfully has a touch of acid to give it balance. What raised this to the A- quality level was the earthiness that took on an almost mushroom character (in a good way) as well as the kind of concentration that makes me think it was the result of a lower yield together with the best barrels being selected for the cuvee. I liked it so much I scoured around to find more with good provenance, and only obtained one. I will wait until early to mid 2014 to try my only remaining bottle, although lovers of really aged Oregon pinots could most likely wait until as late as 2016.

February 2, 2011 - Fantastic bottle. Not tremendously earthy like the California Cabs, a lot of fruit and a nice nose (no pun intended, see label). Probably has two to 4 more years, as it's still maturing. A beautiful pinot! Enjoy it.

March 29, 2010 - Color: Vibrant ruby
Smell: Earth, cherries, raspberries, and clove.
Taste: Bing cherries, strawberries, and a hint of cola followed by a lingering note of earth and mushrooms that ends with an influx of more red fruits along the finish.
Overall: A very different wine from what I remember a little over two years ago now. More of a 'new world" style but still well balanced. There was deft balance that hid the 14.6% alcohol well. While I can agree that this is a well made wine...I just don't know if this is the sort of wine I find myself craving often. Others at the dinner were quite fond of it as well and it got plenty of "thumbs up" from those who tried it. -

January 4, 2009 - One of the better Pinot's coming from a fairly new, small producer in Yamhill, Oregon. Delicious black cherry and hints of mocha with a well-rounded mouth feel and balanced finish. Really excellent wine.
