November 23, 2023 - CT tells me I have had this wine 10 times. This tells you what a bargain this was. This is delicious. Medium gold, initially a little cold in the glass but white/yellow stone fruits fighting it out plus some banana and the classy RP&F oak of honeycomb spice in the background. The fruit has grown to envelope the spine. Its not a $250 PM so do not criticise its $50 honesty, but it is a terrific wine from a cool vineyard in these warmish times. And it finishes with a lick of salinity. The only thing holding it back from a higher score is its lack of the PM citrus/white flowers and the CM nectarine/richness. An honest wine and very delicious, needs no more time so drink up by 2026 18.+

September 3, 2021 - Advanced bottle. No bruised apple yet but dark and hard to the finish. A surprise given this normally reliable wine producer. Day 2, and it’s much improved. The colour is paler and is now correct. The hardness is gone, the profile is now more citrus, the fruit is diminished but it is drinkable.

August 11, 2021 - As per previous note. More agrume on opening this bottle. Great structure. Keep.

August 2, 2021 - Terrific wine, and Mark’s note nails it. Classic 2014 structure with a spine of mineral acidity to hang the flavour profile off. White peach, grilled nuts and spicy honeycomb oak on the nose with more of the same on the palate plus ripe honeydew melons. The wine is cool and long. It’s almost Chablis like, only missing the seashells and salty honey tang. No rush with this, lots of energy and tension. 18.

November 7, 2020 - The wine shows the vintage very well with its cool minerality and long, clean palate. The nose shows a lot of mineral characters, along with lemon, spiced pear, quince and dry honey. There is a touch of nutty oak in the background but it is well balanced. The palate is medium bodied, with lots of citrus, honey and quince, with light spice, lots of mineral flavours and firm acid. The palate finishes very clean and cool. A very drinkable, moreish wine. Will probably fill out a bit more with age.
