October 26, 2022 - Mmmmm…..dark chocolate, plum, a little spice, some pepper. A truly fantastic merlot. It has lot of time left in the cellar.

January 31, 2022 - Still very young and a little closed. Dark inky purple colour. Bright nose with lots of red fruit and vanilla. The palate follows the red fruits lead and turns to a graphite and cedary finish. Lots of potential and definitely the best from Duckhorn. Wait another 5 years.

September 4, 2021 - This has turned out to be a great Merlot, Dark and inky, Tannins have softened to where this is coming into its Prime, Hints of Cherry, Vanilla, and Cocoa.

May 14, 2021 - Bought the ‘13 after the ‘14 was named WOY by Wine Spectator. This is why they said Merlot was back. Clean cork. Decanted for 3 hours. Dark red color. Smelled of cherries, pencil lead and vanilla. Silky smooth. Long finish. paired with lamb meatballs. Excellent. Three Palms is a special vineyard.
