December 10, 2021 - Wonderful! This is really beginning to open up. Eagles Trace always takes time to come around. They are always worth the wait.

April 17, 2020 - Lean, acidic, bricking. A bit of barnyard -- too much for my wife, but enough to be interesting for me. No plum or really any fruit, but lots of stemminess and orange peel. I would have thought this a Burgundy at times. Second night: this has been taken over by the horse manure notes -- down the drain went half the bottle.

August 20, 2016 - Slightly green and stemmy but in an interesting way. 2011 was a challenging vintage and Gus seems to have made the best of it in a non interventional fashion. This is a Merlot for Bordeaux lovers.
Great price. -

April 29, 2016 - Not what i expect from Eagles Trace. Light clear ruby color with low aroma, little fruit and a short finish. Feels watered down compared to 09. Day 2 no change. Day 3 it got darker and drier. Not sure if time will help but i can hope.
