December 26, 2020 - Thyme, anise, cloves. Darker fruits with a clean finish. Good structure. This has aged nicely so far.

July 1, 2019 - If you pop and pour this wine you will be disappointed and score it in the 80s. It will be like a typical mediocre northern Spanish wine. We decanted for 2 hours and tasted along the way. It evolved from a Tempranillo to a unique wine that was heavenly. At the end it was a very big old world wine with earthy, dark fruit notes and pronounced well rounded tannins with a long finish. Reminded me of an aged Tannat.

There were flavors we couldn't identify but were very enjoyable and as the night went on it kept exposing different layers. Also with an intriguing nose. We paired it with grilled meat, which was perfect.

We have one more bottle and will open it next year with an update. This wine should go another couple of years and be even more complex.

June 12, 2019 - Hard to rate. Like others, there were traces of mold on the top of the cork, but in my case it didn't permeate the wine itself. Decanted for an hour, it shows cassis and plum up front, with waves of vanilla and roasted tomato taking over mid-palate on through the finish. High acidity (too high) and bitter tannins are formidable. After the first few sips, the oak starts to strengthen, and eventually dominates. Less acid and less oak, and this would've been much more enjoyable.

June 9, 2018 - Nice Ribera with a lot of cassis (!), red berries. Smooth, well integrated tannins and in a very good drinking window right now.
