  March 25, 2024 - 90-91 Seriously good stuff and a great value. Decanted and immediately poured, features sweet, plumb fruits of dark berries and plumbs backed by a spine of iron and a bit of a pepper on the finish. The second day, left in the carafe at 60 degrees it was even better, taking on a luscious texture and knit to together nicely. A bit short on length otherwise it would rate even higher. No real flaws with this one.

  January 5, 2024 - Color, clear deep red; 1st nose, raspberries and anise; 2nd nose, oak and roasted vanilla. On the palate, medium to full body, good balance of tannins and fruits with long finish. Paired well with duck leg confit.

  This wine is still developing and needs another 2 years in the bottle.

  April 2, 2022 - Showing the first signs of ripeness; still a lot of fruit and roses and violets, less severity, firm and also smooth, ripe bitters, ripe tannins, still a bit hefty, but also gentle.
