Community Tasting Notes 9

  • marcus_francois Does not like this wine:

October 8, 2021 - First day this was just a wall of new french oak. No fruit to be found. Next day, the oak subsided and the fruit showed. There wasnt a lot to it on this one. Fruit tasted a bit sour. Tasted thin and structureless at cellar temp. As it warmed up and got air, this showed more ripeness. Some earth undergirding the plummy tobacco-ey dominant notes. I wont be looking for this one again.

June 25, 2021 - Donkerrood, prachtige neus met bramen. Lange afdronk.

November 1, 2020 - Had opened a few bottles prematurely, but with time and air, this is finally coming into its own. Very enjoyable everyday Bordeaux (if you are willing to open it early and decant a bit).

July 25, 2020 - needs 6 hours in decanter to become enjoyable.

June 21, 2020 - Big improvement over first bottle (Pnp) - 6 hours in decanter helped it to open up into dark fruits, sweet(ish), immediate pleasure rather than length.
