April 13, 2024 - Shared on my 57 bday with my love at Union 50 with salmon risotto on a beautiful day in Indianapolis.

Great nose. Very very smooth. Medium heavy wine. Perfect. Old world wines. PD.

January 5, 2024 - Same amazing nose of utter deliciousness, only less metallic flavor. Jeff Leve's review is spot on. The 80% new oak is not yet fully integrated but close, It really elevates the wine. This is my second favorite use of heavy new oak after Bond. Probably drinking at peak in a few years.

November 8, 2023 - 70% Merlot, 30% CF Grand Cru Classé. A bit tight, needs some time still to express well and for flavors to gel. Not a great value.

November 7, 2023 - 10 minutes in the glass and the nose is indeed spectacular. Silk, leather, dark cassis, violets, mocha. However the palate suffered from a metallic foil note and tired coffee grounds. With more air the palate improved but the nose receded. Tart plum, dark chocolate, fine grained but grippy tannins. This is a 91 point drinker, but that nose was briefly 96 pts.

June 13, 2023 - Dark fruited and black. Replanted now, and this one has the limestone and the clay and the layer of clay is thinner here which makes a more vibrant wine. She notes that this wine needs to calm down a little bit at times. And the limestone gives it the punchy dynamic power to it.
