March 8, 2022 - Decanted briefly. High-toned, balanced blend of Cab Sauv and Cab Franc that has aged very well and drinking beautifully with fine tannins, herbed dark fruit, buoyant acid, good viscosity. Delicious.

May 13, 2018 - 2 hours of decanting was not nearly enough time to allow this wine to express itself. The initial nose and mouthful exposed the large percentage of cab franc in the wine. It is all red fruit, red licorice, tobacco, pencil lead, with a tart somewhat herbaceous edge.
Tried again 12 hours later and the green edge was gone, leaving a beautiful expression of what a cab sauv and cab franc blend can do together. Almost like biting into a perfect strawberry covered with dark chocolate. Long, savory aftertaste. -

February 27, 2018 - Monthly Men's Wine Dinner (Harvest Vine, Seattle): Nose of light tobacco. Upon opening, sweet acid and medium tannins. Then with a short decant filled out into a viscous, full-bodied mouth filler with hints of tropical fruit and a bit of pencil lead on the finish. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Cabernet Franc made by the great Philippe Melka. My #2 of 5 and the group's #4.
