Community Tasting Notes 1

  • James Kim Likes this wine: 90 points

August 18, 2022 - Stood up for several days. Decanted off some significant sediment. Now 1h after decant. Somewhat shy aromas of unripe plums, blackberries, herbs, a bit of flowers, and bark. Palate w unripe plums, blackberries, dark cherries, sandalwood, bark, some flowers. Med-full body. Nice acids with medium tannins giving the wine a nice structure. Gentle moderate finish. This is nice and delicious with some semblance to the tempranillos from Rioja but also very different. Haven't had enough tempranillos from CA to know if this is typical. Either way, this is still youthful and delicious with plenty of time on hand. 90+
