December 10, 2020 - Stood up for 30 minutes before a dinner of beef ghoulish, PnP. Clear deep ruby color, full bodied. Very pleasant, upfront, pronounced aromas of powdered dark chocolate, baking spices, sweet figs, stewed, briary raspberry, old shoe leather, dried pipe tobacco, crushed fennel, and dry, red earth. Fully mature. Flavor profile mimics the aromatics, lots of complexity. Very balanced with the structure being well integrated and intact. Finish is medium. Unlikely to improve with further cellaring, but showing very well with the food. Recommend not decanting. Drink through 2021-2022.

October 13, 2019 - A perfect wine for a cookout or barbecue. Tonight it was St. Louis style pork ribs; the sweetness of the sauce paired well with the fruitiness of the wine. Fine grained structure dealt effectively with the fat in the meat. Can’t beat the price at $20.

October 15, 2016 - OH YEAH!!!!
Killer CA Cab for $20!!!!
Not knowing the cost of this wine I was very impressed with this it. Huge buttery oak and dense ripe fruits. The noise is like blueberry pie and hot chocolate. In the mouth the fruit is HUGE and lots of buttery goodness.
Easily the best $20 Cab Sauv I've had in many years. I will buy a case the next time I see it for $20.
