March 12, 2024 - I was a bit disappointed that this wine had not fulfilled the promise of a bottle in 2019. Some secondary notes of English tea and spice box are coming in but there is still a stemmy, herbal quality to the fruit and there is still a sense of being clenched. In the best case, it develops bottle sweetness and the stemminess turns to gentle spice and the fruit clarifies as the whole wine relaxes. I have no idea if that will happen. As it stands, this is still a good and enjoyable wine just not what I was hoping it would be.

December 13, 2023 - First bottle since the tasting back in 2017. I knew I had to wait a long time for this one, as the Elliott is usually very lean. Decanted for 30 minutes but needed much more. Finally started opening after an hour plus. Sweet cherry and cassis fruit paired with earthy spice. Still rather tannic with high acid. I would wait another 3+ years for next bottle. Not ready yet.

September 30, 2020 - Final bottle. Still showing very well. Sour cherry and strawberry. Nice acidity and a nice weight for a midweek bottle.
