November 8, 2017 - Medium ruby bordering on purple, and medium bodied; this is no thin Beaujolais. Ample red and blue fruits with a streak of liquorice, actually reminding me a bit of mukhwas (the sugared fennel-based snack one gets in Indian restaurants). There's an underlying sense of minerality and ample acidity that imparts a sense of freshness. Although the tannins are not too prominent, I suspect this wine will improve with a couple of years of rest. Good value.
